Frequently Asked Questions

Tips:

The answers to the following questions provide useful tips that will help you prepare your pets suitably before travelling.

  1. Question:
How can I best prepare my pet for travel?
    Answer:
It is important to make sure that your pet has had a light drink of water prior to travelling. Exercise, such as a walk, and also bowel movement, can be helpful in having your pet free of stress.
  2. Question:
How much should I feed my pet before travelling?
    Answer:
It is recommended that you don't feed fully grown pets for 8 hours before travelling. However, younger pets, such as pups for example, can be given a light feed prior to travel.
  3. Question:
Can my pet travel with a favourite toy?
    Answer:
It can help your pet feel more at ease if you provide a familiar toy or blanket. (However, some items may be unsuitable, so it is best to check with us first. For example, food and bones are not allowed).
  4. Question:
Can I give my pet any medication to help him settle?
    Answer:
It is best to talk to your vet about medication when travelling.
  5. Question:
Should I put a collar or lead on my pet for travelling?
    Answer:
It is not required, but O.K., to wear a collar. Leads are to remain outside the crate.
